Essay

The dissertation is the first complex research of the Jewish population contribution in the economy of Kherson province in the nineteenth - early twentieth centuries. The author analyzes the historiography of the problem, sources and methodological basis of research. The paper shows a process of foundation of the Jewish communities in the province, the dynamics of their growth and their social structure. The factors to some extent influenced by economic specialization Jewry are explored.
