Object – reactivity and morphogenesis of the structural components of rats liver in experimental atherosclerosis; purpose – to estimate structural and functional peculiarities of the liver norm, in condition of experimental atherosclerosis and to assess the hepatoprotective role of prophylactic and therapeutic usage of ароЕ gene; methods – modeling, macromorphometrical, histological, histochemical, micrometrical, electron microscopical, biochemical, statistical; the results – established peculiarities of the structural and functional changes of the liver in experimental cholesterol atherosclerosis and established effectiveness of gene therapy (using intramuscular injection of ароЕ gene) for its correction; branch – medicine.
