Object - Russian nouns with historically changed morphological and word-formative structure. Purpose - to define the tendencies and regularities of semantic changes in Russian nouns with de-etymologized morphological and word-formative structure effecting the paradigmatic characteristics of those units. Methods - the method of continuous sampling, word-formative analysis; comparative historical method; distributive analysis; component analysis; linguistic analysis; descriptive method; method of quantitative analysis. The first experience of systematic learning of semantic changes in Russian nouns, the stem of which are de-etymologized in modern Russian language, is presented in the dissertation work. The semantic changes are analyzed on the level of signs and semi-signed taking the law of language asymmetry into account. The types of semantic changes are defined: significatum widening, significatum narrowing, semantic shift. The phenomena of polysemy, omonymy, hyponymy, synonymy, antonymy are reviewed in lexicographic aspect in connection with one of the most important reasons of their origin - semantic changes. The register of morphemes with qualitative and quantitative changes and the list of the words which were subject to semantic changes have been made. The sphere is academic activity.
