Essay

Object: clerical and nationalist ideologies in Halychyna in 1920-30s and their interaction on the background of the liberation movement. Objective: based on comparative analysis to investigate the problems of mutual relations between the GCC clergy, clerical political and social streams, secular organizations, on the one hand, and modern nationalist movement represented organized nationalism UMO-OUN in Halychyna in 1920-1930s – the other. Methods: historical-comparative method and its variants. Results: for the first time implemented the complex thesis research of relationships between OUN and GCC against the background of discussions about Ukrainian state-building, a comparative analysis of conservative-clerical and nationalist views on the Ukrainian liberation movement is conducted, introduced into scientific use significant number of documents of Ukrainian political emigration of Czechoslovakia in 1920-30s, improved research practice of ideology of Ukrainian nationalism by analyzing similar processes in the European context. Scope: for writing textbooks, manuals and the development of regulations and special courses on the history of Ukraine, Ukrainian political thought, Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, as educational material for students of history and other humanities departments in universities.
