Socio-economic, social and political sources and peculiarities of the Ukrainian village's public life are analyzed in the research work. The author clears out that the discrepancy of the New Economic Policy influence on the socio-economic, social and political life of the Ukrainian peasantry stipulated activation of its public initiative. The author has shown the degree of the Ukrainian peasantry integration into the Soviet social and political structure and the growth of its gravitation towards self-organization. The Soviet state total measures towards involving the Ukrainian peasants into the public institutions of the UkSSR have been analyzed. It is cleared out that the Ukrainian peasantry's life realities of 1920-ies made them to realize their interests. Its brought them to the protests.
