Essay

The thesis highlights the important process of personality development through the prism of Chinese philosophical reflection discourse. The problem of personality development is theoretically generalized. The author provides the solution to the scientific problem, namely the substantiation of peculiar features of the phenomenon of personality in Chinese society at various stages of its development, which became the subject of philosophical reflection and is included in concepts of human-being and society, developed by Chinese thinkers. The substantiation of the phenomenon of functional personality is of great importance as it is the condition of existence of Chinese society as an organic unity, which is aimed at preserving self-identity, i.e. absence of development as a process that can lead both to advancement and simplification. The purpose of life of functional personality is to perform functional responsibilities, the purpose of his or her individual development is to improve personal efficiency which facilitates optimal performance of the functions.
