Essay

The object of study – professional-pedagogical development of teachers-philologists in the system of post-graduate education. The purpose of the study is developing, theoretical grounding and experimental verification of the model and pedagogical conditions of developing teachers-philologists’ professional competency in the system of post-graduate education of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which will effectively enhance their professional qualification. Methods: theoretical; empirical; statistical. Novelty: for the first time the structural-functional model of developing the professional competency of teachers-philologists in the system of post-graduate education of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has been developed and grounded; there have been defined the pedagogical conditions; there have been determined the criteria, indicators and formation levels of teachers-philologists’ professional competency corresponding to its constituent competencies; there have been improved the concept of “the professional competency of the teacher-philologist”, the content, forms and methods of the experimental research work on developing teachers-philologists’ professional competency in the system of post-graduate education of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and the content of its constituent competencies have been defined; there have been further developed periodic typology of the development of post-graduate education in the Crimea; theoretical-methodological basis of the process of improving teachers-philologists’ qualification and its teaching-methodological support; methodological basis for introducing of monitoring for diagnostic-prognostic analysis and quality control of the process of developing teachers’ professional competency. The results of the research can be used by specialists of the system of postgraduate education as an invariant model when designing regional systems of improving teachers-philologists’ qualification, as well as in teachers and methodologists’ practical activity.
