Object: training for teachers-philologists in conditions of post-graduate education. Goal: is the scientific justification, theoretical development and experimental verification of the model of development of scientific and methodical competence of teachers-philologists in graduate education. Methods: theoretical, empirical, methods of mathematical statistics. Novelty: for the first time theoretically developed a model for the development of scientific and methodical competence of teachers-philologists in graduate education; determined components of the scientific and technical competence of teachers-philologists; the pedagogical conditions, promoting the effective development of scientific and technical competence of teachers-philologists in graduate education; improved the essence and structure of the phenomenon of „scientific and methodical competence of teachers-philologists”; criteria, level of development of scientific and technical competence of teachers-philologists; further development obtained the professional-pedagogical preparation of teachers-philologists to the development of scientific and technical competence in the system of postgraduate education. Field of study: theory and methods of professional education.
