Dissertation studies region demogeographic system as a whole social-demographic unit and presents author's unique view on it's functional and territorial structure. Main stages in region demogeographic system study has been highlighted. Historical conditions of Chernigiv's region demogeographic system formation has been studied. Region demogeographic system functioning factors has been highlighted and their social-geographic analysis has been conducted. System-structure analysis of Chernigiv's region demogeographic system has been performed. Analysed and mapped spatial differences and tendencies in population size, natural transition of population, sex-age structure, regional settling. Mid-term prediction of population size and sex-age structure of Chernigiv's region has been executed. Highlighted demogeographic system groups by demogeographic process similitude. Main approaches in their development improvements havebeenproposed.
