Lutsenko M. Slobozhanshchina Nobility of late XVIII - early XIX centuries

The object of the research – Slobozhanshchina nobility of late XVIII - early XIX centuries. The dissertation purpose: study of process of formation and development of Slobozhanshchina nobility of late XVIII - early XIX centuries. The methods: problem-chronological, comparative-historical; methods of statistics and social psychology. Scientific novelty: it is noted that an important role in shaping the philosophical ideas of the nobility played an atmosphere of the house where economic, social and administrative, domestic and cultural functions are showed; based on a wide range of sources, most of which are first drawn to the scientific use, legal process of class privilege are considered; the evolution of the formation of landlordism is showed; the degree of property differentiation within the aristocratic public is researched; the place of the nobility in the provincial socio-cultural environment of the town is indicated; it is noted that under the influence of the provincial high society changed the quality of urban life; an urban garden became the elements of cultural space, where entertaining life of the town concentrated; the influence of the local gentry on the process of enlightenment in Slobozhanschyna, including the opening of the University is explored; the construction of mansions of Kharkov province of the second half of the XVIII century – early XІX century is considered; the manor life, «where aesthetic pleasure and intellectual classes, crowded celebration of family and close circle of friends intertwined», held in the «festivities and entertainment»; the dynamic changes in the number of the nobility of the region are presented. Practical value of research: the materials of the dissertation can be used by preparation of a lectures courses on a history of Ukraine; at a spelling of works on a history of nobility of Ukraine; by development of special courses for higher educational institutions and in work on study of local-lore.
