Essay

Current dissertation is devoted to examination of the specialized documental funds in case of The Fund of the Presidents of Ukraine of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, as a special library manuscript and archival collection, which provides collection, conservation and introduction of documental materials to the scientific and cultural turnover (published works, archives, museum exhibits, electronic documents), which reflects the state and social-political activity, creative work and life of the Presidents of Ukraine. We considered legislative and regulatory frameworks, characteristics of objectives and functions of The Fund of the Presidents of Ukraine. It was examined the evolution of the formation and development of The Fund of the Presidents of Ukraine, as an integrated documental fund. It was provided a profound analysis of principles, methods and sources of manning system, structure and resources of The Fund of the Presidents of Ukraine. We disclosed theoretical aspects of formation of conceptual and categorical system of the subject under study. Special attention is paid to the study of the international experience and current realities of the similar social and communication institutions. It was extracted and scientifically grounded the method of scientific and technical information processing and accounting of the traditional and the latest document resources of The Fund of the Presidents of Ukraine. We proposed prospects and strategy of The Fund of the Presidents of Ukraine development, as social, cultural and information center, which is able to satisfy the information demands of the users, among whom the main place is occupied by the representatives of the state power.
