Voytyuk O. Social and cultural activities of Studite statute's monks of Greek-Catholic Church, 1898-1947

Object: Studite monasticism rose. Objective: To investigate the features of the socio-cultural work Studite monks in the context of socio-political processes in Western Ukraine in the first half of the twentieth century. Methods: The general scientific (systematic, typology, retrospection) and specially-historical (problem- chronological, historical and comparative, critical and analytical, biographical). Results: The reasons and recovery features Studite monasteries of the GCC Charter, described the work Studite monks in the socio-cultural plane, to highlight their participation in the preservation of sacred art edge. Scope: Materials may be used when writing papers summarizing the history of the GCC and selected chapters of textbooks on the history and culture of Ukraine, religion, and the development of educational programs on these subjects.
