Maksymenko O. Organizational and pedagogical bases of vocationally oriented language learning in the EU Countries.

The thesis is devoted to the research of the sector of the vocationally oriented language learning (VOLL) in the foreign language education in the EU countries. On the basis of the research of the European foreign language education, the author analyses the interpretation of the concept "vocationally oriented language learning" and distinguishes the essential characteristics of this phenomenon. Taking into consideration the historical process, the two periods of the VOLL development in Europe are distinguished. The experience of the VOLL in the organization and content development, methods and forms in the EU countries at the levels of secondary education, high school, adult education is represented. To modernize the sector of the foreign language education in Ukraine the proposals based on the positive conceptual ideas of VOLL in the EU countries are given at strategic, pedagogic and research levels.
