This research is dedicated to the problem of the formation of readiness of the teacher of physics to the design of the educational process in postgraduate education. In the dissertation researching is analyzed the current state of the problem, the essence of the concept "willingness to designing of educational process". Structural components of readiness of the teacher to design activity, criteria, indicators and levels of readiness to the design of the educational process in physics are defined. A model and technology of the formation of readiness of the teacher of physics to the design of the educational process in postgraduate education is treated. Theoretically proved and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions aimed at improving the effectiveness of the formation of readiness of the teacher of physics to the design of the educational process in postgraduate education. Quantitative and qualitative results of experimental work confirmed the effectiveness of implementation of the developed model and can be used during the training of teachers for designing activities in postgraduate education.
