The object of study – patterns of variability of morphological, biochemical and economically valuable traits linseed various ecological and geographical origin in terms Precarpathians. Results: The level of phenotypic appearance and linear rate of reaction 15 samples of oil flax depending on weather conditions and on the sowing time and area of plant nutrition for the traits of interphase and vegetation period, plant height, number of bolls per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight from one plant, weight of 1000 seeds, oil content in seeds, the contents of individual fatty acids in the oil was determined. The variability patterns of the studied traits were established. Favorable for the selection of correlations between morphological, biochemical and economically valuable characteristics were found. The sources of valuable traits for creation of genotypes adapted to the conditions of the western region of Ukraine were isolated.
