Zablotskyy A. The Image of Soviet Military Equipment during Great Patriotic War in its Participants Social Consciousness (on materials of Ukraine)

Thesis is devoted to the reconstruction of synchronic image of Soviet military equipment in social consciousness of the Great Patriotic War participants. It is proved that the image of military machinery was a complicated emotional-sensual and intellectual phenomenon at ordinary and reflexive levels of soldiers’ consciousness. The qualitative and quantitative structure of the Soviet military equipment is characterized as an objective basis for its image formation in social consciousness. It is demonstrated that the image of military equipment on reflexive level of soldiers’ consciousness has been deeply integrated into the image of the war as a whole and defined the concepts of defeats and victories, of enemies and allies to a large degree.
