Suima I. Formation and lexicographical marking of the compound adjectives with the national-territorial meaning

Object - the compound adjectives with the national-territorial meaning (ANT). Purpose - a description of structural and semantic features of ANT in relation to the sphere of functioning of these adjectives and peculiarities of their fixation in the different lexicographical editions. Methods - descriptive and comparative, the technique of complete selection, the classification of linguistic material, component and contextual analysis, linguistic experiment, establishing of the functional significance, invariant analysis, linguistic comparison; elements of mathematical statistics. Different approaches to the definition of terms "compounding" and "compound word" are analyzed, the specificity of the formation of compound adjectives is considered, the main structural and semantic types of compound adjectives with the national- territorial meaning are identified. Structural and semantic characteristics of adjectives with the national-territorial meaning are correlated with the spheres of their functioning; their correlation with the headwords of different lexical-semantic groups is shown.
