Gornostal S. Imoroving the efficiency of biological treatment plants of urban wastewater treatment

Object of study is the process of biological treatment of municipal wastewater. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the biological treatment of municipal wastewater. The study was performed in the laboratory and industrial wastewater treatment plants for the city of Kharkov. Analysis of experimental data were used statistical methods, mathematical modeling and the method of the theory of planning and processing experiment. In this thesis, the following new scientific result: proposed and scientifically justified in the theoretical description of the biological treatment of municipal wastewater from organic impurities in the "secondary clarifier - aeration" separation of the process into four phases, has been further developed a mathematical model of the process of biological wastewater treatment system "aeration - secondary clarifier", which differs from the existing models that take into account design features allow biological treatment; obtained empirical relationships which allow to determine the dose of the active sludge at the outlet of the aeration tank of the regenerator, and determine the concentration of impurities in the purified water outlet of the structures biological treatment, a method for selecting technological regime of the aeration tank in urban wastewater treatment, use, which allows to increase the efficiency of the biological treatment plant. Results of the thesis are introduced to biological treatment Complex "Dikanevskiy" city of Kharkov. In addition the results can be used design and operational organizations to improve technological mode of treatment facilities, as well as in the educational process of higher education institutions in the preparation of construction business masters degree in water supply and sanitation.
