Shapovalova L. Way of Life as the Socio-Cultural Phenomenon: Social-Philosophical Analysis

Thesis is a social and philosophical research of the mode of life as a social and cultural phenomenon where the theoretical and methodological bases of life and the main conceptual approaches as to the interpretation of the idea in the society are defined, the social and cultural determination of the mode of life is grounded and the peculiarities of its national originality in the globalization circumstances are considered. In this thesis the mode of life is determined as a non-productive field of the social subject activity which is predetermined with the specific historical and social and cultural peculiarities and directed to the preservation and retransmission of the social and cultural models in space and time in order to refresh the vital functions of a person. It is determined that the mode of life forms not only material but also social and cultural basis of the national and cultural identity and hereby it promotes national protection in non-national or global surroundings. It is proved that levelling of crisis phenomena in Ukrainian society is possible and it can be based on the strategy of the mode of life development in the direction of its individualization, global and national combination, refusal of the idea about total socialization of the mode of life which can promote the improvement and recreation of the physical and cultural strength of a person.
