Dissertation appointed for the degree of candidate of historical sciences, specialty 20.02.22 - Military History. ? Ivan Cherniakhovskyi National University of Defense of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2013. The comprehensive study of the formation and development of morale and welfare structures in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (1991?2011) is undertaken in the thesis based on the researches carried out by the author. The conditions and factors that influenced the creation and establishment of morale and welfare structures in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and caused the special aspects of their development are discovered and found out. The historical process of the development of morale and welfare structures from 1991 till 2011 is analyzed. The special characteristics, trends and origin of morale and welfare structures in the course of national military construction are analyzed on the basis of in depth scientific analysis of the history of the creation, establishment and development of the morale and welfare structures in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that allowed to propose the author's periodization of the process. Practical recommendations on the optimization of morale and welfare structures operation in military construction are worked out. The paradigm, based on the experience of the development and operation of morale and welfare is proposed, which is to create a framework for social and psychological support of training and application of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
