Vasylyk M. The tendencies of the national education of Ukrainians in the USA and Canada (the second part of XX - the beginning of XXI century)

The thesis is dedicated to the problem of national education of the growing generation of Ukrainians in the United States and Canada in terms of assimilation and denationalization in the second half of XX - the beginning of XXI century. The work exposes the historiography of the problem, analyzes the historical and socio-cultural preconditions of origin and development of children and youth national education in these countries, highlightes the major factors of the theoretical and practical development of national education of Ukrainians, analyzes the views of well-known teachers of the Ukrainian Diaspora in the USA and Canada on the role and place of national education in the preservation of their ethnic identity, characterizes the leading tendencies of the development in referece to national education of Ukrainians in the USA and Canada in the second half of XX - the beginning of XXI century. The problem of young people patriotic education in the ukrainian pedagogical position was investigated in Canada and the United States.
