The dissertation is dedicated to the social initiative of students and grounding of their pedagogical support in the project activity of the non-governmental local organizations. This work outlines the essence and content of the initiative, the social initiative, and the social initiative of students; describes their structural components; offers the definition of the pedagogical support of the social initiative of students; provides the grounding for its principles, components, content and types; characterizes the peculiarities of the project activity of the non-governmental organizations; describes and provides the grounding for criteria and indices of estimate of the pedagogical support of the social initiative of students; defines and provides the grounding for social and pedagogical conditions (the assurance of the social interaction among the representatives of non-governmental local organizations and universities, the technological provision of pedagogical support of the social initiative of students in the project activity of the non-governmental local organizations, the monitoring of the pedagogical support of social initiatives of students in the activity of the non-governmental organizations) and checks the effectiveness. It is developed the structural and functional model of the pedagogical support of the social initiative of students in the project activity of the non-governmental local organizations, its components (purposeful, cognitive and valued, technological, reflexive, supervising).
