Shulgata N. Andriy Zhuk in the socio-political processes of Galicia and Overdnipro Land in the first third of the twentieth century

Object: socio-political organizations, government institutions of Ukrainian National Republic (UNR) and WUNR, which it collaborated A. Zhuk and journalistic and popular science magazines, active correspondent of which had one of the founders of the UUL, its scientific and journalistic heritage. Methods: systematization, typology, flashbacks, problem- chronological, historical, comparative, critical and analytical, biographical. Results: for the first time little-known facts biography of a prominent politician are reconstructed, in particular characterized by its activities in the national movement of Ukrainians in the early twentieth century, reproduced the complete picture of public and political activity A. Zhuk in RUP, USDRP, UUL, ZUR, in international forums; work in Ukrainian public institutions of Galicia, shows the contribution of A. Zhuk in the rise of national consciousness of Ukrainians of Galicia and Overdnipro, reconstituted its outreach in camps of the Ukrainian prisoners during World War I, aimed at promoting the idea of the need to build of the independent united Ukrainian state, justified and proved the important value of scientific and journalistic heritage of A. Zhuk, stressed the need to promote it among the general public. Scope of application: in lecture courses on the history of Ukraine, the Ukrainian national liberation movement in the first half of the twentieth century, Ukrainian cooperation, as well as in political science studies.
