Object of study: community-acquired pneumonia. Research goal: to improve the accuracy of diagnosing the community acquired pneumonia patient’s severity by developing a formula that determines the need for hospitalization considering levels of markers of systemic inflammation. Research methods: card-record study and clinical examination, instrumental, biochemical and statistics. Theoretical and practical results:additional criteria to determine the need for hospitalization were being developed, tested and put into practice. Novelty: the additional criteria to determine the need for hospitalization were first developed. They present a sum of parameters: the number of lung shares affected, level of saturation, C -reactive protein, albumin and fibrinogen quantity. The degree of implementation: articles. Field of use: medicine.
