The dissertation presents the problem of formation of future chefs readiness to the professional activity in the resort complex environment. The appropriateness of the usage of competence, activity, creative, ethnology, cultural and aesthetic approaches is grounded. The components of future chefs readiness to the professional activity in the resort complex are pointed out. They are motivational, cognitive, operational and personal. Moreover, the relevant criteria, indicators and levels of formation are singled out. The model of the formation of future chefs readiness to the professional activity in a resort complex environment is elaborated.
