Object: training of future social pedagogues in conditions of higher education; aim: scientific justification, theoretical development and experimental verification of the model of the formation of reflective competence of future social pedagogues in the process of training; methods: theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty: model of reflexive competence of future social pedagogues in the process of professional training is theoretically developed and scientifically grounded for the first time, pedagogical conditions of reflexive competence of future social pedagogues are designed; the essence of the concepts "reflexive competence", "reflective competence of the social pedagogues" is clarified; the state of the essence of reflection in general and professional reflection in social pedagogues' activities gets further development; results: the thesis can be used by teachers of higher educational establishments of all levels of accreditation at the process of creation curricula and programs, special courses to improve the professional level of future social pedagogues; field of study: theory and methods of professional education.
