Essay

The thesis is devoted to the theoretical study and experimental verification model of general cultural competence of teachers of Mathematics in post-graduate education. The analysis of the problem of the general culture of teachers of Mathematics from the point of view of socio-pedagogical positions has been carried out. The genesis of the concept of "The culture of a teacher" has been considered, its structural components have been defined. The essence of the general cultural competence of teachers of Mathematics has been specified, organizational and pedagogical conditions of its development on the in-service teachers' training courses have been selected, the teaching methods' guidelines concerning the educational process on the basis of distance learning have been developed. The paper presents the results of the teaching experiments that confirm the effectiveness of the proposed educational technology of the general cultural competence of teachers in the system of post-graduate education. It is shown the methods developed to increase its level by means of the history of Mathematics and with the help of using information and communication technologies.
