Object of research - breeding technology of parental components for heterosis breeding of rye.The aim - the creation of parental components of winter rye for heterosis breeding based on different genetic systems controlled breeding with the use biotechnology in the selection process level. The methods of the research are genetics, field, biotechnological, statistical. Parent components (sterility fixers, fertility restoration agents) for winter rye heterosis breeding have been created. Highly-productive hybrids and winter rye variety Sirius, which has been sent to the State Variety Testing office, have been created. Introduction of the research results -created winter rye breeding material used in researches Verkhnyachka research breeding station of the Institute of bioenergy crops and sugar beet NAAS, Ukrainian Research Institute breeding, All-Russian Institute for sugar beet and sugar behalf A.L. Mazlumov RAAS; results of studies implemented in academic and scientific process Uman National University of Horticulture. Area of application is selection research institutions.
