Essay

The thesis is devoted to improving the treatment of patiens with chronic pyelonephritis based on the study of clinical and pathogenetic features of the disease. An examination of 120 women with chronic pyelonephritis in the acute stage revealed a significant increase in C-reactive protein, interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-alfa in the urine. It is provided zinc deficiency in patients with chronic pyelonephritis and confirmed its role in the imbalance of the system of proteins peroxidation and antioxidant protection and increased activity of the local inflammatory response . A scheme of combined treatment of chronic pyelonephritis using zinc sulfate was developed at first time, which makes it possible to improve the treatment efficacy.
