Object: professional training of future teachers in higher educational establishments; aim: to substantiate theoretically and verify experimentally pedagogical conditions for training artistic skills in future teachers; methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, analogy, modeling, observation, questioning, testing, pedagogical experiment, method of mathematical statistics; novelty: pedagogical conditions for training future teachers in forming artistic skills have been defined and theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified; results: the special course ,,Fundamentals of theatrical pedagogy”, practical work „Artistic skills as a component of pedagogical mastery”, the work programme of theatre and pedagogical studios have been worked out and tested; methodological guidelines to the teachers of professional courses, pedagogical practice, tasks for students’ self-reliant work, methodical recommendations have been developed; field – theory and methodology of professional education
