The dissertation provides theoretical grounds and solution of an impor-tant scientific medical task. Using considerable experimental materials we performed a complex study of morphogenesis of mandible in male rats after 2-months exposure to toluene vapors. Using a balanced complex of research methods such as osteometry, histomorphometry, biochemical tests, X-ray scatter analysis, tissue strength tests and mathematics we obtained new data that prove toluene to have effects on mandible morphogenesis such as growth inhibition, imbalanced zone structure of condylar processes and incisor dentine, hyperhydration, demineralization with associated microelemental imbalance, instability of crystal lattice in minerals of both bone and dentine, and general strength failure. In readaptation period all the effects of toluene persisted up to the 30th day of observation and reduced insignificantly in later terms. We also proved that intraperitoneal injections of 2.5% solution of thiotriazoline in dosage of 117.4 mg per kg of body weight and per os Echinacaea tinctura in dosage of 0.1 mg of active component per 100 g of body weight significantly reduce negative effects of toluene.
