Object - prospective teachers' professional training in higher education institutions; aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested technology on prospective teachers' readiness to develop gender culture in adolescent students ; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to present theoretical substantiation and results of experimental testing of the technology of prospective teachers' training to the development of gender culture in adolescent students; the essence of gender culture as a personality formation that is revealed in acquisition of knowledge, values, norms and rules of sex specific role behavior in different spheres of life based on the principles of equality and democracy allowing a person for adequate behaviour as a representative of certain gender has been specified; the criteria and indices of prospective teachers' readiness to the development of gender culture in adolescent students have been singled out; forms and methods of gender culture development in adolescent students of general secondary schools have acquired further study; results - the theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested technology of prospective teachers' training to the development of gender culture in adolescent students can be implemented in the teaching process in pedagogical higher education institutions. Theoretical ideas, practical research data of the dissertation can be used in teaching psychological and pedagogical disciplines, in teaching methods of instruction of different humanitarian subjects by teachers, engaged in professional training of prospective teachers in higher education institutions, in the programmes of teachers' professional development, for writing textbooks and teaching manuals, while writing course, Master and Bachelor degree diploma papers; field - pedagogy.
