Shevchenko A. Disciplinary liability of judges of Ukraine.

This dissertation is dedicated to research on disciplinary liability of Ukrainian judges through legal status judges and guarantees of independence together with content of disciplinary liability and international standards on the issue. The causes for judge's disciplinary liability are determined. Legal status and powers of disciplinary authorities in Ukraine are specified. The emphasis is made on the analysis of practice of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine and the High Council of Justice. Therefore, the thesis seek to provide an understanding of specifics and stages of disciplinary proceedings. Moreover, the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights are studied.
