Vеprіv R. Agriculture of western Ukrainian regions: leading tendencies and peculiarities of development (1964–1991).

On wide range of historical resources the dissertation presents the first complex scientific reconstructions of the agricultural environment in Precarpathian region as a subsystem with its peculiarities in the republican and all-union complex. Using modern methodology a range of key problems reproducing the whole picture of social and economic life of region has been replicated. Determined that the implementation of agricultural policy by the soviet union government in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions in 1964–1991 has led to great changes in both agricultural production and domestic infrastructure as well as daily life of the village. It is proven that a strengthening of material and technical resources in agricultural production, electrification and mechanization, wide land melioration, chemicalization, turning it into the industrial basis, the introduction of scientifically grounded systems into crop farming, personnel training for agricultural complex have contributed to certain success. The process of the development of social sphere and population living standards shows some features – the main attention has been drawn to the development of industry.
