The results of the surgical correction of congenital malformations and diseases of the intestine in 105 children, for whom it was necessary to perform extensive colon resection was investigated: 26 (24.76%) with total agangliosis, 47 (44.76%) with subtotal agangliosis, 11 (10.48%) - with rectal-sigmoid agangliosis, 14 (13.33%) - with colon atresia, 4 (3.81%) - a total colon polyposis and 3 (2.86%) - with nonspecific ulcerative colitis. The complex of reconstructive and plastic surgery with providing valve protection of intestine lumen under the restoring of intestin was developed and implemented into practice. Was developed and implemented into the practice the method of forming functionally beneficial reservoir from the small intestine (side ileo-rectalanastomosis) under colectomy in children. Owing to the rational complex of reconstructive plastic surgery after extensive resection of the colon in children it was succeeded to avoid mortality, to ensure reduction of postoperative complications and to improve quality of life in the late postoperative period. The high efficiency of the program was confirmed by good functional results in 88.57% and satisfactory - in 11.43% of patients. Field - medicine.
