Essay

The object of research is a process of professional training of would-be teachers of philology; the subject of research are pedagogical conditions of efficient formation of the functional competence of would-be teachers of philology in the process of special training; the purpose of research is to explore the essence,content, structure and levels of functional competence manifestation and to substantinate and verify experimentally the pedagogical conditions of forming such a complicated personal background in the process of special training; research methods: theoretical, empirical, experimental, statistical; scientific novelty of the research results is that: conceptual provisions of forming the functional competence of students in the special training are grounded for the first time; pedagogical coditions, stages and funds of forming the functional competence of would-be teachers of philology are determined;holistic analysis of scientific theoretical aspects of special training of pedagogical personnel is completed; essence,content,structural components,criterion and levelling characteristics of functional competence of would-be teachers are refined and concretized; technique of diagnosing the level of formaton of functional competence in process of special training is approved; scientific knowledge in forming of functional competence of would-be teachers of philology; provisions of essence of modelling, classification of variants of individual work of students of foreign languages are subject of further development.
