Essay

The thesis investigates the formation of self-educational competence of future skilled workers in the course of general education. Analyzed present state of theory and practice of self-education activity; clarified the essence and meaning of the notion "self-education competence", defined its component-functional structure. Concretized criteria, indicators and levels of the studied phenomenon. Theoretically grounded pedagogical conditions and developed a structural model of self-educational competence of skilled workers. Experimentally tested the method of forming self-educational competence of skilled workers in the general education, relevant guidelines were developed.
