Shulga V. Public-geographical research of ecotourism in Sumy region.

The thesis is devoted to socio-geographical research of ecotourism in Sumy region. In the thesis theoretical aspects of the eco-tourism development have been under examination and methodical basics of its examination have been worked out; analyzed approaches to determining the nature of the concepts of "eco-tourism", "sustainable tourism" , in-depth socio- geographical nature of recreational nature as a factor in ecological tourism, systematized methodological approaches to the study of natural and recreational resources of the region for the purpose of eco-tourism, the methodological foundations of socio -geographical study of this phenomenon, the diagnosis made of natural and recreational resources of Sumy region for the purpose of eco-tourism and analysis of natural areas, historical, cultural and socio-economic resources of the Sumy region, and well as its ecological security as major factors of the eco-tourism development of ecotourism, analyzed the natural resource potential dedicated for this purpose, tourist and recreational ecosystem Sumy, an algorithm for strategic planning of ecotourism; analyzed international experience managing ecotourism activities in national parks and reasonably institutional and geographical mechanism of strategy of eco-tourism in the Sumy region.
