The thesis received the further development an area of knowledge about the spread of Listeria - there were received new data about the circulating strains of Listeria spp. on the territory of Ukraine , which became the basis for improving methods of their species differentiation in CAMP-test and the need to develop kits of molecular genetic express diagnostic of Listeria. Improved CAMP-test method by extension of cultivation to differentiate pathogenic species of Listeria (L. monocytogenes, L. ivanovii and L. seeligeri). Mathematically proven that the incidence of listeriosis in animals has no direct impact on the incidence of the disease in human (coefficient of determination 0.04), while the incidence of people in 45 % of cases associated with the consumption of food contaminated by Listeria (coefficient of determination of 0.45). The dependence between the incidence of contaminated animals and food of animal origin were proven (coefficient of determination of 0.38). Experimentally confirmed feasibility of the including of silica A-300 to sucrose - gelatin protective media, which enhances the level of safety at Listeria after freeze drying 3,68 % and after 12 months of storage - by 14,5 % compared to the control. There were developed and registrated the diagnostic kits for detection of Listeria genus DNA by polymerase chain reaction "Listeria spp.- PCR Test" and "Kit of Listeria spp. test-strains for CAMP-test and quality control of culture media".
