Lakomova E. Social-and-geographical processes in the old industrial Kryvyi Rih region

The peculiarities of social-and geographical processes formation in the transitional type of society as a form of activity of people's territorial community is examined in the thesis. Social-and-geographical processes are proposed to investigate through the prism of changes in the function of the region and the regional interests of its population. The problem of function transformation in the old industrial Kryviy Rih region is illustrated on the basis of cartographic analysis of social processes in Kryvbas. The special asymmetry between the region settlements is proved. The typological characteristics of the area are given on the basis of indicators determined the prerequisites of people's regional interest formation in urban center and rural outskirts The priorities of Kryvyi Rih old industrial region with pointing out of socio cultural hazards are distinguished.
