Essay

The dissertation focuses on the comparative research of the structure and semantics of phraseological units representing the conceptual sphere of movement in the Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and English languages in ideographic and ethnolinguistic aspects. A complex of parametric marks to reveal common and different features of movement categorization within phraseo-thematic and semantic groups connected with the intensity, direction and way of movement, cyclic, direct, indirect, sudden movement is represented; national and cultural peculiarities of their motivation are revealed. The typology of conceptual and metaphoric models constituting comparative phraseological units in the compared linguo-cultural continua is established.
