Yacenko K. Multiculturalism as Social and Cultural Phenomenon of the Modernity: Socio-philosophical Analysis

In the thesis the social and philosophical analysis of the multiculturalism as a social and cultural phenomenon of the modernity is made, its' basic principles and functional peculiarities are characterized. International practice of the multiculturalism patterns implementation in different social spheres is analyzed. Consistent patterns of functioning and development, peculiarities and special conditions, positive and negative results of the multiculturalism practice's realization in multicultural society are outlined. The characteristic features of the Ukrainian multicultural society and the mainstreams of multicultural programs realization in Ukraine are researched. The Ukrainian ethnic and cultural identity is determined, its' compound parts peculiarities are analyzed. The statement about the integrative function of the title ethnos' culture and multicultural education within the processes of the national identity formation and international communication organization got further development.
