The thesis is devoted to the historical and pedagogical analysis of the development of physical education of girls in secondary schools in Ukraine in 1919 - 1941 years of the twentieth century. The problems of the formation and development objectives, content, forms and methods of physical education in schools in Ukraine. Done systematic analysis of the subject in the scientific and educational literature. The influence of European experience on the development of physical education in Ukrainian schools. Disclosed regional characteristics of the physical education of girls in Ukraine.
