Essay

This dissertation investigates the activity of L. Tsehelskyj, known as a social and political statesman of the first quarte of the 20th centery. The dissertation also investigates the formation and evolution of L. Tsehelskyj’s outlook, describes his participation in the student’s movement and in Ukranian National Democratic Party and the first steps in a political career, analyzes his ambassadorial activity in the Viena parliament and the Galician Sejm, his political activity during the First World War, and national building activity in 1918 – 1919. Dissertation describes also the role of L. Tsehelskyi in party – political life and realization of the idea of collegiality of the Ukrainian lands.
