Royenko S. Development of private school education in Ukraine (19th - early 20th centuries).

The object of the research is the education development in Ukraine in the 19th - early 20th century; the subject of the research is the peculiarities of the Ukrainian private school education transformation during the studied period in the context of educational reforms; the purpose of the research is to identify and summarize the peculiarities of the Ukrainian private school education formation and development in the context of educational reforms in the 19th - early 20th century based on holistic historical and pedagogical analysis; the research methods - general scientific: historiographical analysis, synthesis, abstraction, generalization, analogy, comparison; historical and logical; historical and genetic; historical; structural; comparative, chronological; scientific novelty of the obtained results is that for the first time: preconditions of formation and development of private school education have been revealed: social and political, legal, cultural; factors, tendencies of private educational institutions functioning have been determined; the stages of private school education development in the 19th - early 20th century have been grounded; systematization and analysis of the research on establishment and development of private school education; studying the views of pedagogues, government officials concerning the place and role of private institutions in the general education system have been gotten the further development; the content of the basic concepts of the studied problem has been specified.
