In the dissertation it has been considered the scientific approaches to the interpretation of the basic concepts of the research: "readiness", "professional skills", "generalized professional skills", "formation ability for professional activity of future engineer-teachers food profile" on the basis of studying the philosophical, psychological and pedagogical sources. It has been defined the function, purpose, methodological tools of production practices, classified and described the professional skills, clarified the stages of their formation, proved and developed the criteria level, which is based on the model of the process. Its effectiveness is realized by implementing pedagogical conditions: diagnostics of formation of generalized professional skills of future engineer-teachers and the adjustment of methodical maintenance of manufacturing practice in view of the results of diagnostics; axiological ensure the formation ability of future engineer-teachers food profile to the profession by increasing their motivation for learning, the formation of students' experiences of reflective analysis of their own learning activities during the manufacturing practice. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results of experimental work has confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed pedagogical conditions of formation ability for professional activity of future specialists during manufacturing practice. It has been established that the introduction of pedagogical conditions provides positive dynamic growth of levels of generalized professional skills in the manufacturing practice, confirming their ability for professional activity of future engineer-teachers food profile through the usage of advanced methodological tools.
