Essay

The concept of "readiness to research activity of future teachers of technologies in the conditions of higher educational establishment" isdefined and grounded as the result of professional training and the qualitative characteristic of a personality's creative activity on the grounds of appropriate skills, which are necessary in realizing future research assignments and projects, providing the possibility of showing already-existing dispositions and carrying out a research by the help of the students' theoretical knowledge of substance and content of research activity process. The scientific and theoretical backgrounds of the process of forming such readiness during professional preparation of teachers of technologiesare considered. The organizational and pedagogical conditions, which can promote the effective forming of readiness to a research activityof future teachers of technologies, are defined and experimentally tested. Criteria and indicators are worked out, the levels of formation the readiness to a research activityare defined for future teachers of technologies.
