Melenets L. Development of pre-school institutions in rural areas of Ukraine (1945-1991 years)

The dissertation is devoted to the historical and pedagogical retrospection of development of pre-schools in rural areas of Ukraine (1945-1991 years). It is examined the historiography and source base of the research. It is clarified the definitions of "pre-school institution", "development of pre-school institutions", "rural pre-school institution"; it is discovered the periodization of development of pre-school institutions in rural areas of Ukraine: І period (1945-1963) - the revival of pre-schools in rural areas, ІІ period (1963-1984) - implementation of pre-school general education in rural pre-school institutions, ІІІ period (1984-1991) - upgrade of education in rural pre-school institutions; characterized the factors and investigated the influence of public and scientists on the development of rural pre-school institutions; singled out the main lines of educational work with children and discovered the forms of improving the work of pre-school institutions in rural areas of Ukraine; noted the prospects for the creative use of experience of rural pre-schools in the modern system of pre-school education in Ukraine.
