Mudrinich S. Typology of the Words with the Meaning of State in Ukrainian and English Languages: Semantic and Functional Aspects

The thesis deals with the study of the words with the meaning of state in Ukrainian and English languages. There were defined the morphological, semantic and syntactic types of the words with the meaning of state in Ukrainian and English languages due to their functional possibilities. There were set the correlation of parts of speech potential of the words with the meaning of state according to the types of the sentences in Ukrainian and English languages. The functional and semantic fields of the words with the meaning of state were represented in studied languages. There was realized the contrastive typological analysis of the class of the units with the semantic of state based on syntactic constructions in the grammar of English and Ukrainian languages. The specific features of the sentences including the words with the meaning of state were defined; its forming sentences possibility was analyzed in both languages.
