In this research the author elucidates peculiarities of organization of education of Ukrainians in the area of Nadsanie, Lemkivshchyna and Khelm. The author has realized the following tasks: reveals the extend of study of the given problem, analyzes legal aspects and preconditions of development of the Ukrainian schooling in the Second Commonwealth of Poland, separates stages of development and characterizes the specific nature of organization of the national schools on the ethnic Ukrainian territories which were part of the Polish state throughout 1919 - 1939: elucidates the role and significance of the public-pedagogical movement in preserving and developing the Ukrainian national schooling in the area of Nadsanie, Lemkivshchyna and Khelm in the given period
